Food coloring expansion

We wanted to find a way to make food coloring expand in other ways that just fall down. We experimented in many ways with the oil (such as mixing it with many different things. We ended up covering the sides with oil. In the end it costed $9 for canoli oil and food coloring. The rest we had at our homes. The other things that we used was a handheld mirror, black backing paper, a wine glass and a flashlight. In the end we were able to make the coloring expand in many different ways.
