Bright Art (Save the Turtles)

Our project includes not only recyclable materials but much more. Looking around the class there were beautiful pieces of art, but what was the meaning behind them? With the addition to our final product, there was a meaning to it as well, ¨Save the Turtles¨. We created a beach with sand and shells that we used to blend and add to our landscape. LED lights were placed around the beach under the turtles, in the water, under the sand, and up the palm tree where the light switch is located. Now for the turtles, we used materials from the blue bin including glass [for the shell] and plastic [for the turtle outline itself]. In addition to the beach, there is a palm tree that is towering over our landscape that sets the scene for the mood we were reaching for.
