Peacocks Night

My art was inspired by the culture of India where peacocks are considered of the most majestic creatures and are the national bird of the country. I represented them in the night sky on the moon because I wanted to show that they are watching over to make sure every magical night is beautiful. The lights are put through holes made in the canvas and are battery powered LED string lights. They represent the starts in the sky and the small moonstones in the moon. The light reflects and refracts from the golden cutouts, and bounces of the metallic cutouts causing a slight rainbow, and the lights also represent how much the peacock shines, and how charismatic and joyful it is.
