The materials we used for our project were- Cardboard LED string lights Paint Crystals Transmission sheets We assembled a box out of cardboard and painted the inside white to reflect the light the best. We placed the LED strings on the bottom and sides and used the transmission sheets as a cover for the box. We painted a tree branch pattern on the sheets and arranged the crystals in a pattern. Three light characteristics/interactions we used were refraction, scattering, and transmission. Transmission sheets transmit the light- letting some of the waves pass through but not all. The sheets also scatter the light- hitting the pane and spreading into different directions, making it appear dimmer and spread out across the sheets. The crystals refract the light- making it change direction and angle of exit and appear bigger.
