In space, studying insects can be difficult and that is why I have designed the Space Insect Container. It is designed for the storing and observing of insects in the zero gravity of space. The container has a viewing window on the top where plexiglass can be glued on. The container also has dove tail joints so that when multiple containers are printed, you can create a modular environment. The inside of the container has posts to secure plexiglass over the openings. This allows the plexiglass to be removable and can be taken out when connected to another Space Insect Container. The ability to add to and change the insect environment is useful when studying how they navigate and communicate in space. I thought this was a helpful design for research after seeing ant experiments in space.
