Sea cucumber (egg drop)

We attached 2 axis’s to the top and bottom of a paper cup to hold the egg in place during the drop. These axis’s were each made of 1 straw cut in half. We also attracted rubber bands to tighten the straws. We used a total of 8 rubber bands, 2 straws and 1 paper cup. we decided that since the axis’s would both keep the egg in place and keep the egg a distance from the ground, that a double axis would protect the egg from an 8ft drop. We named our contraption “sea cucumber” because the design of the contraption looks like an animal known as the sea cucumber.
