The cassowary can be found in the rainforest of northeastern Australia. The cassowary is mainly black with some blue. They live on the ground level of the rainforest. It eats fallen fruits, small vertebrates, invertebrates, fungi, carrion and plants. The cassowary has a dagger-like claw that is about 5 inches long. Cassowaries are omnivores. As the rainforest disappears the cassowary will lose his casque. He will lose that because he will no longer have any underbrush to push through. The cassowary will only be able to eat meat, because the fruit trees will also get cut down so there will be no more fruit. The rainforest will now be a grassland, because all the trees will be cut down. The cassowary will grow stronger wings to be able to fly and will do that so they can migrate.
