The sumatran orangutans live only on the northern tip of the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Sumatran orangutans rarely move on the ground, females virtually never travel on the ground and adult males do but it rarely happens. They live in the canopy of the forest. Fruit makes up about 60% of the orangutan's diet, including lychees, mangosteens, mangoes, and figs. In the future, they will be located on the south side of the island in the Barisan Mountains. They will walk on the ground on all fours so they will have stronger knuckles and arms. They will eat fish, insects and small rodents. They will also have tan colored fur because the fur will fade from being in the sun so much. Also their fur will be much more dry.
