The ring-tailed lemur is native to Madagascar. Lemurs live mostly in the canopy but can go down to ground level. Lemurs have long striped tails that help them keep their balance when jumping from tree to tree. Lemurs are herbivores, their favorite foods are fruits but they also like to eat flowers, leaves, and bark. They use the sharp claws on their hands to groom their fur. They also have claws on their feet that help them hold onto branches. In the future, I think lemurs will have a shorter tail since there will be less trees for them to climb on, and they will continue to walk on all fours but will have much stronger arms and legs. I also think that lemurs will grow sharper teeth and will become omnivores because their food source will be gone. Lemurs will change from gray to a brown color.
