I chose the harpy eagle because it is one of the only eagles in the rainforest and it is also endangered. My present harpy eagle flies in the forests of the Amazon and South America. The habitat right now is still a forest, but deforestation is happening in the rainforest. In the future the rainforest could turn into a savanna, and the harpy eagle would have to evolve. It would have sharper claws for grip, and it would be able to run super fast to catch prey. Its feathers would change into grayish yellowish, and the beak would change into a snout full with razor sharp teeth. The size may become smaller so that it doesn’t need as much food to survive. That is my present and future harpy eagle.
