The Clouded Leopard is a well adapted mammal to its rainforest environment. Currently it is the only cat that can climb on trees head first and they have huge paws so that they can cling and balance on trees. The way they catch prey is, they stay high in the tree and stalk their prey. The way that they stay camouflaged are the “clouds” on their coat. In the future the Clouded Leopard will be renamed to Striped Savannah Cat because it no longer has “clouds.” It is smaller so that it can stalk from trees, jump down the tree, then chase its prey. It is leaner so that it can run faster. It has a small amount of stripes so it can camouflage while spying on its prey from the tree, the rest of the cat is beige so it can blend in with the grass in the savannah.
