The creature I chose for this project was the Pygmy Marmoset, more commonly known as the finger monkey. They live in the inland rainforests of South America. Some of their adaptations that help them survive include their diet of mostly tree sap, long tail, sharp teeth, pointed fingertips, and dark brown tree-like colored fur.Over the course of what I estimate to be around 80 years, I presume that their habitat will become a mixed woodland because of deforestation and rising numbers of termites. This creature will have developed new adaptations. They need wings because they need to fly between trees. They develop a shorter tail because they no longer need a long tail, flatter fingertips to walk on the ground, fur that is green on their back and brown on their stomach for camouflage, and flat teeth to chew plants. This is how I believe this animal will adapt.
