My tropical rainforest vertebrate is a yoda bat scientifically known as Nyctimene wrightae. The Nyctimene wrightae lives in the rainforests of Papua New Guinea. Not much is known about the Yoda bat but we do know that they spend most of their time in caves, rock crevices, old buildings, bridges, mines, and trees. The bat’s future habitat will be a swamp and therefore the Yoda bat could hide in the trees and sleep upside down in trees. The Yoda bat could also find food because they eat fruits and vegetables and they can eat the leaves on trees and maybe even berries if they grow. They could also even eat fish. The Yoda bat doesn’t have front teeth, so for it to eat fish it would need to adapt more teeth and it would adapt sharper claws to attach to the bark on trees.
