Adaptions of Sloth Bears

The Sloth Bear lives in tropical forests around India. I think the forests they live in are going to become more like savannas because of more plants dying from the increased heat, humans also need the trees for wood for cooking. The Sloth Bear is an omnivore currently eating mostly fruits, but on the savanna they are going to have sharper claws and teeth for fighting and hunting. The Sloth Bear will become lighter so they don’t make so much noise when hunting so they can successfully sneak up on their prey. The white mark on their chests will become darker so they can hunt at night without being seen most of the time. The bear’s long, shaggy coat is going to be more scruffy and short to help them cool down under the scorching savanna sun. During the day they are a big target because of their black fur.
