African Forest Elephant

My creature is the African Forest Elephant. It lives in dense rainforests. In the future though I think its habitat will become a savanna and because of these changes to their habitat I think they will become more like a savanna elephant. Some of their new adaptations would be a new diet of grass, leaves, bark, fruit, and a variety of foliage. They also have wrinkly skin to keep them cool since it’s very hot in the savanna. Another adaptation to help them with the heat is their big ears. These adaptations are ones the Savanna elephant has because I think in the future the two types of elephants will become very similar. I think they will keep their long tusks to help protect themselves and elongated trunks to get what little water there will be because of the heat. These are my predictions for the African Forest Elephant.
