The capybara is a fascinating animal that has undergone major changes over thousands of years as a result of climate change forced by humans. Due to climate change, the coastal rainforest the giant capybara once lived in has changed to marshes. This adaptation has resulted in some significant transformations in the animal's form. For instance, the capybara has grown in size to weigh between 1500 and 2000 lbs five feet tall from 77 to 150 pounds, and 2 ft tall, and can now run at a speed of 44 mph to fend off predators like the anaconda and panther. In addition, the giant capybara has also developed a tail to ward off the increased number of flies, and ears like an elephant to help with cooling. Finally, the capybara diet has changed to be more diverse by now eating the fish from the marshes and the grass.
