The Spider monkeys live in high treetops of warm, wet subtropical forests and tropical rainforest climates, mainly in South and Central America and parts of Mexico. In those rainforests the food supply for the spider monkey consists of fruits, leaves, flowers, and insects. An adaptation that they have already made is their hook-like hands. A Spider monkey's habitat will change because most spider monkeys live near the coast and as the sea levels rise because of climate change, the land will most likely flood making it harder for them to live on the adaptations they have currently. They will have to make several adaptations because of the humongous shift in their environment. Turning from land to more sea they will have to make do with all of the water around them. Some adaptations include changing their diet and learning how to live with the effects of climate change.
