The animal I’m researching is a toucan. Over time, the toucan’s habitat will change drastically. Because of deforestation, which is mainly driven by mass production and the cycle of poverty, there will be less trees. Global warming will also have an effect on their habitat. Therefore, the toucan will adapt in order to survive in its environment. First, the toucan will grow a larger beak to pry open meat more easily because of the lack of fruit trees. I also believe that they will adapt to have larger eyes in order to see water more clearly. They will have larger wings because they will migrate farther and more often. They will have larger claws with one toe on each side to grip on the few tree branches that will be left. Finally, they will have a shorter tail to move around more easily in their open habitat.
