The La Palma Glass Frog, (scientific name, Hyalinobatrachium Valerioi), is a miniscule species of frog in the Centrolenidae family, roughly sizing to the scale of a fingernail. They are typically found in South American tropical lowland rainforests near streams and rivers. These frogs have yellow spots and a transparent underside. They have the unique ability to send their red blood cells to their liver, which increases their transparency. Due to the effects of Climate Change, though, their rainforests could become mixed woodlands. In order to adapt to the new environment, which is filled with more predators and greenery, the La Palma Glass Frog would need to change several things to ensure its survival. Some of these things might include enlarging and changing the color of their spots from a yellow to a brown-gray, which could assist their camouflage when hiding in trees or near rocks.
