Currently the giant otter lives in the amazon river systems, but due to human settlement near rivers, I think they will adapt to life in the ocean. Seeing as they are water animals, the young will be born with the ability to swim so they can adapt to the large open ocean even better. They will also develop poisonous barbs to fend off their hungry predators. The barbs will be located on their tail, paws, and neck so if anything tries to bite them, they will immediately back away. They will have shark-like camouflage to hide. The camouflage will make them dark on the top and light on the bottom hide them from above and below. The Giant otters are naturally very large, hence the name, so they will decrease in size. Lastly, they will have a sound only they can hear as a cry for help.
