My present iguana lives on an island and has razor sharp teeth, a sharp tail, a short rounded snout, a strong jaw and strong claws. Sharp teeth and strong jaws are for chewing plants and leaves. The other adaptations are for attacking predators who are trying to eat them. My future iguana lives underwater instead of on land. My creature's habitat changed because as global warming continues, more places will flood because the Earth's temperature is more hot. The iguana developed gills for breathing underwater and webbed feet for swimming. Spoon-shaped tongues are for eating small fish or plankton and it's larger snout is able to catch more food at once. The spikes will be larger and poisonous to scare off predators under and over water. Lastly a regenerating tail is important because if a predator like a shark bites it off, the tail can regrow and help it swim.
