A pangolin’s current habitat is a tropical or flooded forest with thick brush. A pangolin’s future habitat will be a dry, savannah grassland. A pangolin’s habitat will change mostly because of deforestation. When more deforestation happens, rainforests trees will be gone and grasslands will be left, and those grasslands will dry out due to rising temperatures. Dry, hard-grounded savannah grasslands will soon take their place. A typical pangolin has flat scales, semi-small eyes, a dull tail end, soft and furry and dark colored undersides, and short and stubby legs. A pangolin’s future adaptations will be flat and standing-up scales, medium-sized eyes, a sharp tail end, the same undersides, sharp claws, and slightly longer legs. Pangolins will need these adaptations to better defend from, find, and attack predators, to burrow deeper faster, and to run away faster in case that they are spotted.
