The present snapping turtle lives in ponds, lakes, and oceans. It swims in salty water without fear of any predators attacking. Over time, the snapping turtle's environment changes due to human influence and environmental changes. The turtle’s habitat will change over time because of overcrowding, pollution, or habitat destruction. The future snapping turtle was forced to adapt to its new environment. The future turtle will be tougher and live in a more dangerous environment to be able to fend off predators with a spiked tail for protection from bigger prey... Its color shell changed from brown to green to allow it to hide better in the grassy plants. It has also developed sharper teeth to be able to broaden what it can eat because of pollution effects on its diet. Because the turtle will be able to adapt and can survive in new environments.
