The Amazon River Dolphin has adaptations that help it survive in a very busy and dangerous environment. Some adaptations include long noses, which help them root through river mud and dart through branches after small fish. Climate change and pollution will also eventually affect the way that this animal lives. The way that climate change will affect the Amazon River Dolphins is by the river levels rising and the rivers may start to overflow. The river temperatures may also rise immensely. Lastly, the rivers may become polluted and the dolphins will be affected and die. Amazon river dolphins have pink skin, because it helps the blood flow, which is needed for oxygen to reach the body. This may be affected, because the water will be polluted, meaning they might need to hold their breath longer. The dolphin may also have sharper noses in order to travel through the thicker water.
