The Golden Lion Tamarin currently lives in humid forests in Brazil. They are found in the closed canopy areas of the forests. They are also very social animals living in groups of 8. Some adaptations include their long nails used to cling onto trees and to catch prey. Golden Lion Tamarins have a very vibrant orange or golden color. They have narrow hands and feet. I think the climate change and deforestation will cause their habitat to become a flat land with a small amount of trees and color. Because of this, I think they will become a darker brown color instead of golden. I also think they will keep their long nails, but used for digging and catching prey instead of clinging onto trees. They might also grow in size since they won’t be in the tall trees. Finally, their feet will grow to be able to walk easier.
