The Amazon Weasel is an endangered animal that lives in South America. The weasel can live from sea level to 4,100 feet altitude, and can swim in rivers or bodies of water, sometimes far from shore. In their environments, they can either burrow into the ground of hollow trees to hide. Little is known about them because they are rare to see, but we know that they are endangered. Their habitat is northern Brazil and that is where the Amazon rainforest is. Deforestation and population is a big problem because it is killing a lot of animals' environments. This includes the Amazon Weasel, who may not be able to use their burrows as homes anymore. They also may not be able to swim as effectively if there is pollution everywhere. Overall, their habitats and ways they live are getting changed due to the problems we are causing.
