Hornbills are found in Africa and Southeast Asia. Hornbills are diurnal, often rising with the sun to call to their neighbors before heading off for a meal. Some go off in small groups or pairs to find food and others go in groups of hundreds. Hornbills often rub their bills on trees or barks to clean themselves. They usually live in trees so when the day ends, they return to their homes to roost. Hornbills like to roost in groups because it's the safest. They use the outer branch of a tree to roost so that their predators don't get them. Most hornbills are omnivorous and eat a combination of fruit, insects, and other wildlife. They can use the tip of their bill to pluck fruit from trees or off the ground. Climate change can affect them by reducing the chance of them breeding successfully or even at all.
