The Golden lion tamarin is a fascinating animal that mostly lives in the coastal rainforests of Brazil. It survives by searching through trees and crevices for insects. The primate uses its long fingers and claw-like nails to reach into small openings and get their prey. It also uses its fingers to clasp onto branches. Along with its fingers, the golden lion tamarin uses its long tail to swing through branches. However, if deforestation continues, I believe that this creature may adapt to find food in the ground. The golden lion tamarin may have a stubby tail, darker fur, and stronger arms. The reason why this primate might develop a stubby tail is because there won't be any trees to swing on. It may also have darker, yellow-brown fur to stay camouflaged in the grass and dirt. To get its food, insects, the primate will need stronger arms to dig frequently.
