An Aye Aye survives today by eating crops but sometimes can be killed by farmers. They are also found in the 16 protected areas of Madagascar. An aye ayes adaptations are dark fur that helps camouflage them in the dense forest and large ears that help them listen for the movement of grubs and larvae. The mutations that an aye aye will need to survive in the rain forest if all the trees were cut down are a lot better awareness, flying like a flying squirrel so they can safely fall down from the trees, better bite force so that they can kill things easier and eat them faster, and be a lot faster so that when the trees are falling down and they are on the ground they can get out of the way and not be crushed.
