The Green Winged Macaw has many interesting adaptations. They have beautiful, colorful feathers, and strong beaks that can help it crack open nuts and seeds to eat. Have you ever considered what will happen to these beautiful birds if the climate changes? These Green Winged Macaws live in the wonderful Amazon rainforest, and they like to hang out in trees by rivers. If climate change interferes, the rainforest may dry up and become like a barren scrubland. I think because of the hot temperatures, the Green Winged Macaw will lose its beautiful bright, colored feathers and become brown and black. As for its habitat, the rivers it lives by will dry up, and the trees in the Amazon will wilt and the tree’s branches will droop. The Green Winged Macaw will become more of a scaly bird, like the Scaly-breasted lorikeet.
