The jaguar is a majestic species native to the Amazon. It is a big cat that has black spots along its yellow fur. It likes to live near water in tropical areas. It is currently in the near extinction area, with around 173,000 left in the world. Climate Change is affecting the Amazon because of warmer temperatures, which raises the risk of insect infestation, the spread of infectious diseases, destroys agriculturally valuable soils (for plants to grow, for herbivores to eat, and then the jaguar to eat the animals), etc. I think it might lose its fur, or the hair goes shorter, because of the much warmer temperatures it experiences daily. It might also have to live somewhere else. So let's protect the jaguars!
