The gecko is a small reptile that is usually located in rain forests. Some are venomous and some are not. They are cold blooded, meaning they have to warm up by bathing or out of shade. Another cool fact is their tails. They can separate their tail from their body to distract a predator. This eventually grows back so they can do it again. But there's a problem, climate change. Geckos rely on the sun most of the time, but if they're bathing long enough, they could dry up like a raisin. Climate change will reduce the amount of shade geckos can hide in, but also limit the amount of predators. In prediction, if all rainforest adapted geckos die, there are other climate based lizards that could take their place. In conclusion, geckos are fantastic creatures and it would be pricless to lose them!
