Hippos of the Amazon Rainforest live in warm/wet subtropical climates along rivers/lakes throughout sub-saharan Africa. With 2 inch waterproof skin that produces “sunscreen” to protect themselves from the fierce temperatures and keep themself cool. They’re nocturnal and hunt mostly at night; hunting space is made up of the same body of water their “territory” is. The future climate will be much harsher and food will be scarce. They will expand their hunting zone to not far but not close to their territory. They will also be hunting underwater and be able to hold their breath for more than 5 minutes. They will also be producing more “sunscreen” to keep cool and protect themselves from the harsh temperature.
