Jaguari: the new jaguar

To survive in the rain forest the jaguar needs adaptations to help them stay the apex predator. They need sharp claws for catching prey. They also have muscular limbs for climbing trees and when getting food they need their spots to blend in. Their powerful jaws can crush an animal’s skull! But now their habitat is changing due to climate change. The temperature will rise and rain forests might become grasslands. Some of the only available food sources will be small animals that live underground. Instead of eating big animals every 3 days they will only eat little food all the time. To get into animal burrows they will need claws for digging not climbing. They won't need as sharp teeth. Their coat will be tawny colored to blend in. The world is changing so the jaguar needs to change with it.
