The chinese pangolin lives in primary, coastal rainforests of China. It has strong, sharp claws to help it dig up anthills. However, their claws and legs don’t line up so, to prevent hurting themselves, they walk on their knuckles instead. They also have a long tongue to reach down into these insect nests. To protect themselves from predators, they roll up into an armored ball. They can also climb and even swim. In 2,000 years, its habitat will be a swamp. Because of this, It'll be semi-aquatic. It’ll have bigger, wider, and webbed feet, a stream-lined head for swiftness and also transparent eyelids for seeing underwater. It won’t have gills, just stronger lungs enabling it to hold its breath for 7 hours at a time. It won’t eat insects and will instead eat small fish resulting in sharper teeth. These are the future adaptations it will have.
