Ocelots have many adaptations to survive in the South American rainforest. They have good night vision for hunting and a unique spotted coat for camouflaging. They also have pointed fangs for killing bites and sharp back teeth for tearing up food. They have excellent hearing and can swim quickly. In the future due to global warming the ocelots habitat will become a wetland. To help adapt to their new habitat they will have larger paws for swimming faster and larger lungs to stay underwater to catch fish. There claws and teeth will grow sharper to defend their territory. They will change their diet to more fish and birds and grow thicker fur to stay warm in the cold weather. The fur would become waterproof to keep out cold water. In conclusion, due to the rising temperatures the ocelot will have to change in many ways to survive.
