Currently the spangled cotinga lives in the Amazon rainforest located in South America. The spangled cotinga is a bird and the males have blue on their bellies and black wings. The females have grayish feathers and bellies. The Spangled Cotinga eats fruit and insects that live in the Amazon rainforest. The Spangled Cotinga is about 8.5 inches long. Males have blue feathers and a purple patch. In 2,865 years from now the spangled cotinga will live in reefs. The Cotinga ojeipysóva will also live underwater meaning it will “breathe underwater” so will catch fish. The Cotinga ojeipysóva will no longer fly but instead will use its wings to swim in the water. When the Cotinga ojeipysóva wants to catch food then it will hide in the coral, and with its beak will chomp its food down. 2,865 years from now the Cotinga ojeipysóva will be different.
