Due to global warming the land-based rainforest will become a water-based marsh. So, birds like the scarlet macaw will evolve and adapt to the new habitat. The short, curved beak will adapt into a long flat beak like a duck’s because it will need to catch food from wet swampy lands. The feet will change from long sharp talons to thin straw-like legs to be able to stand in the water for extended periods of time. The long feathery tail of the macaw would need to disappear. The wingspan would be reduced because it would not need to fly as much. To blend into its surroundings the macaws' bright flashy colors would need to change to a neutral tone. The last adaptation would be a transparent eyelid so that it could look for fish underwater. Overall, land based scarlet macaw would evolve into a wading bird.
