The Future Lizard

The lizard is a short-legged reptile that lives in the rainforest. The lizard's short legs help it get away from predators quickly. In the next 1000 years, the Amazon rainforest will be too sweltering to photosynthesise due to climate change therefore the lizard will have to adapt and change to the heat. The lizard's body will become bigger, and stronger, and its skin will also become tougher, and somewhat fire-resistant to protect itself. The lizard will have long nails to latch onto things, due to the heat some animals that the lizard eats will be extinct so it will have to find another food source, and finally, the lizard's body will blend in depending on its surroundings.
