The Scarlet Macaw

The Scarlet Macaw has colorful and thick feathers covering its body. In the future, the macaw will lose these layers of feathers to global warming. In order to stay cool, the feathers on the macaw will have to change into very short stubble feathers to let the breeze in. This adaption will help the macaw have more energy and be able to fly longer. Due to rising temperatures and dry humidity, Scarlet Macaws will change the color of their skin and feathers to a dull color such as brown and black. The Scarlet Macaw is also flying lower in my future drawing because of the sun and the overheating.
