Lemurs are primates found on the African island of Madagascar. They use their hands and feets to move through the trees but can’t grip with their tails, they spend most of their time on the ground. Currently, their tail is longer than their body, with long fur for cold weather, they also have fingers to grip on trees and long legs for climbing. In the future, their tails will be shorter, with less fur for the hot climate, they no longer need a long tail to balance on trees. As for their other characteristics such as spending most of their time on the ground, they will develop thinner legs and body. A more aerodynamic and linear body, to move faster to catch prey and run away from predators. There won’t be any trees to grip onto, they lose their fingers and develop paws.
