Chameleons will evolve as all things do. Chameleon environments and rainforests will become drier and have warmer temperatures, leading to less water in the rainforests. Due to the environmental changes, chameleons will have evolved to handle drier conditions, be able to go longer without water and be better at preserving water. Chameleons will have another eyelid to block out dust and other minor minerals. Not only this, but chameleons will also have longer and stronger claws to grab onto their new environment. Their new environment will be drier due to the lack of water. Therefore, the environment will be more demanding due to the lack of water, and chameleons will need longer and stronger claws. Chameleons will also develop a layer of mucus to stay calm and stop them from drying out.
