Black Caiman

Polar ice caps melt and water levels rise 100 meters. The majority of land near sea gets covered in water. The caiman develops gills under its throat and becomes a full time water animal. A dual tail will help it swim under the water. Underwater volcanos will explode causing Earth to crumble in on itself to where Earth gets separated into millions of molten lava globs and everything on the planet dies.
