The frilled lizard today lives in the forests of Australia, and faces a near constant threat of bushfires. It also uses its distinctive frill to make itself look bigger in the face of predators. In the future, climate change might cause more fires and the trees will mostly die off from that and deforestation. The frilled lizard will likely move to low shrubs near rivers and streams, and will adapt to live near rivers. The migration will lead to an altered diet similar to the australopithecus(an early human), made up of snails and seafood. This diet will lead to its brain size growing, and the lizard will become more intelligent. With this intelligence they will start to form colonies, and warn each other of predators and fires with their frills, sort of like meerkats. The frills must then become more colorful to be more effective at signaling other lizards.
