Sloths live in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. They spend their time sleeping in trees and eating leaves. They blend into trees well because they have mossy green algae that grows on their fur. To support their hanging lifestyle they have special tendons in their hands that help them hang longer. Also, sloths use their claws to protect themselves. In the future, the Amazon Rainforest will turn into a savannah. Sloths will no longer hang in trees as there will be no leaves to blend into. They will also lose some of their fur since it will be hotter. Their diet will change because there will be no leaves so they will eat meat. Also, instead of claws they will get sharper teeth. The tendons in their arms and legs will get stronger for crawling. They will also crawl faster.
