The puna or James's flamingo can be found in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina mostly in the rainforest parts of said areas. They feast on algae and diatoms and are capable of flying. The Amazon rainforest is theorized to be a savannah-like area, a mix of trees and tall grass, in the next 50 years. With that and the fact that this flamingo species is already close to becoming an endangered species there is a chance they go extinct, but if they don't, they will most likely have to relocate. The flamingos only feed on small organelles but in the next couple of years, it will be harder to find those in the rainforest so a new adaptation they could receive is the ability to dig up small insects with their beaks. They may also gain legs like ostriches to make it harder for predators to hunt them.
