The south american rattlesnake is recognized as one of the renowned snakes living in the Amazon. This snake has the largest distribution of any rattlesnake. They're pit viper species found in South America. Their biogeographical realm's neotropical. Traits- The head has a brown bar on top, and a dark post orbital band. Color of the belly varies, though it's usually light. The tail's dark. Length is 1.5 m and rarely a maximum of 1.9 m. The diet's rodents and sometimes small mammals. They're not migrants, they're terrestrial/predators. Their venom's stronger than other rattlesnakes'. In future, pests will increase, so will climate change. For these snakes, it's hard to maintain body temperature ( can die at 90+ degrees ). Rodents will increase also, bringing disease. Snakes'll grow smaller ( less food ). Will adapt to bacteria/saltwater. Slender body, will have small flipper to get around quicker. More flexible backbone, too.
