The capybara's legs increase in size while its overall body decreases. This is due to droughts and bushfires reducing water for them to use so they need to eat less and use land to escape predators more often than water. Because there is less water the capybara loses fur on parts of its body and gets many areas that have exposed skin. This allows the capybara to sweat and cool down without the need for pools of water. The capybara also got worse webbed feet since there is less water for them to use.
