The Resplendent Quetzal has many colors. It is blue, green, and red. It has a long tail so that it can use its tail to look like ferns which helps it camouflage. It lives in the canopy layer and it eats berries, fruits, plants, and insects. I think that in the future, the Resplendent Quetzal would change to be more like a desert bird because the Earth’s temperatures are getting hotter, so there will also be less plants. Its colors will turn to browns and blacks, and its feathers will become short. Since it won’t rain as much, it will experience habitat loss meaning it will need to eat insects more. Since there aren’t any trees, it will dig holes in the ground for its shelter, so it would adapt to have talons.
