Speculative Toucans

Toucans are tropical birds that live in South America. These types of birds rely on plants to survive. They also have sharp beaks to crack food. In a millennium, the climate will dry out due to the lack of sand from a wet cycle from the Sahara, which will cause less rain in South America. The dry climate will result in the toucan having a shorter beak as it’s going to eat leaves. It will also have feathers to protect it from the dry. Additionally, it will have yellow skin to blend in with the dry, yellow grass. It will also develop legs to walk.
